Thats a wrap: 122nd Foundation day ISHNHS

The revival of high school day at ISNHS in 2024 marked a heartfelt return to beloved traditions following the subdued events of the previous year, because of the ongoing threat of Covid-19. March 9th, 2024, served as a beacon of hope and resilience as nearly 9,000 students flooded the campus, with their different props and costumes. It was a day of joy, celebration, signaling the first full-scale gathering since the pandemic began, a moment eagerly awaited by all.

The highlight of the day undoubtedly was the grand parade, a vibrant spectacle showcasing the unity and spirit of ISNHS. Students marched proudly, brandishing banners and cheering as they traversed the roads around Vigan, reclaiming a sense of normalcy that had been dearly missed during the trials of the pandemic. Following the parade, the field transformed into a stage for every grade level, with both boys and girls uniting to deliver a colorful field demonstration. It was a moment of collective pride and solidarity as students showcased their talents and rallied in support of their fellow students.

Before the day ended, the festivities continued with a concert for a cause, featuring a lineup of both teachers and students lending their voices to showcase their talents. For many, including myself, the highlight was performing alongside classmates and bandmates, sharing the stage and the joy of music with the audience. The atmosphere crackled with energy, a testament to the unifying power of music to uplift and inspire. Beyond the main events, the high school day celebrations were enhanced by the presence of various clubs, each offering their own unique contributions. From booths selling useful goods to playful photobooths, there was something for everyone to enjoy, underscoring the vibrant extracurricular scene at ISNHS. 

Reflecting on the events of high school day 2024, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to come together as one and forge memorable moments. It was a day that reminded us all of the resilience and strength of the ISNHS community, and the profound impact of collective solidarity in overcoming adversity.
